Are we good parents?

Are we good parents? Do the kids label us as "awesome" or "annoying" parents?

Everyone knows kita yang corakkan dan bentuk anak2 kita.... semuanya bermula dari rumah... or where ever they are raised at. It can be our parents' place, it can be at nursery or caretakers' place.

one thing for sure, it is never the same. never will be the same as how our parents didik kita, and the same thing with our children, we cannot assume and raise and treat them the same as how our parents did to us.

are we controlling them too much or are we letting them make all the decisions themselves?

semua ni penting dan kalau kita tak ada ilmu nak didik anak2, pengalaman mmg tak adalah especially for young and first time becoming mom/dad.

terbaca something interesting written by Luca Caioli in his book.

There is no shortage of stories of famous sports stars whose parents have played a fundamental role through food times and bad. quote this from his book and will keep this here as a reminder, coz i find this inspiring. Iranian-born Emmanual 'Mike' Agassi was one suce parent dedicated to making his son a tennis star. Semasa Andre berumur 13 tahun, ayahnya modified a machine so that it would serve him tennis balls at 180km/hr. Car lover Jose luis Alonso built a racing kart for his Formula One star son when little Fernando Alonso was just three. And Vietnam War veteran Earl Woods became his son's coach and trainer from he day Tiger could hold a golf club, also at the age of three.

Parents and siblings are the first source of encouragement, the first captains. Their values, style and passion can become deeply ingrained, and their actions can determine the path of their offspring. Although in some cases, however, those offspring can feel frustrated that a parent might be trying to fulfill their own dreams through their children. to me, even this is the case, anak2 dah berjaya. they can always retire and do whatever they want at later age.

i salute and envy these parents. for their sacrifices and determinations.
